Each print is produced using archival inks (guaranteed lightfast for 100+ years) on Canson Infinity Rag Photographique Paper and personally signed off by myself.

 Inspiration
 
This piece was a commission for African Parks. I was looking to capture one of their emblematic species and was an opportunity to work on an animal I did not have my own references for, the Forest Elephant. 
 
I jumped at the opportunity and wanted to capture the mystique of this ‘Forest Ghost’. Working on black paper in white charcoal and pastel, I found I could make the animal appear from the darkness, as it would if stepping out from the dense jungle into a forest clearing. With the feeling that it could also disappear in an instant. 
 
Although the original now proudly graces the walls of Africa Parks Head office in Johannesburg, a limited run of 150 prints are available. As with all my works, 30% of the profits of each print will go to Africa Parks to fund vital conservation work across the continent.
