Each print is produced using archival inks (guaranteed lightfast for 100+ years) on Canson Infinity Rag Photographique Paper and personally signed off by myself.

 Inspiration
 
This piece was inspired by a fascination I started to have with backlighting, and one I am looking to explore in future pieces. I started to fall in love with the images of photographers like Michel Doultremont and Bence Mate. So decided to try and investigate my own take on backlighting. 
 
I love the power of suggestion in art, which, in part, informs my choice in charcoal as a medium. For a backlit image to be successful it is all about the power of suggestion and this Is what I sort to capture in this piece. Like the piece ‘Patterns in Nature’ the viewer is left with no discernible features of the subjects but is in no doubt as to the animal portrayed.
 
The original is unfortunately no longer up for grabs but, as with all my works, 30% of the profits from the 150 limited edition prints will go to Aspinall Foundation to fund vital conservation work across the Africa and Asia.
